How to draw ‘the other eye’. Because people keep complaining.
The answer? You don’t draw a whole eye first.
You do it part by part, then make adjustments and add details as you please.
If you draw the whole eye first you’ll just stress over making the other eye as similar as possible. This way it’s also easier to adjust and correct.
Aside from that last step with the ‘transform’ tool, this also applies for traditional art.
Hope this helps!

i made a thing to help with doing perspective lines irl. it’s not a new idea, but i figured i’d post it anyway

i used:
• 2 thumbtacks (for the vanishing points)
• 2 retractable ID card holders
• a twisted paperclip
• tape, to hold the drawing in place

image

image

and because I’m scared that the thumbtacks will suddenly fly into my face, i made one that’s less taut:

• 2 thumbtacks
• thread
• a little roll of tape (i guess a paperclip can work too. or a bead. anything, really)
• tape to hold the drawing in place

image

it’s easier than getting out the rulers every time you wanna do a perspective drawing. also, since thread is more flexible than rulers, they’re better as guides; that is, you’ll end up with less stiff, geometrically exact perspective lines because you have less of an edge to rely on
